I suspected this was the case myself recently, as I joined the other vultures picking over the corpse of the local Circuit City, looking for a blockbuster deal on a new HDTV.
Honestly, I really can’t afford an HDTV right now even at a deep discount, nor is their room in my living room for a huge TV anyway. Having read Fitzpatrick’s piece, however, I’m even more relieved that I didn’t pull the trigger on an ill-advised, post-Christmas purchase.
